ECU Board Type Identification for Conversions
There are three basic ECU circuit board types on the common OBD1 civic/ integra OBD1 ECU's. All serve the same function, however have the board components arranged differently. When converting a non-VTEC ECU to VTEC or any other type of conversion, you will need to identify your ECU board type first to make sure you are ordering the right parts and installing them correctly. The three common board types are:
- 11F0
- 1720
- 1980
These boards can be identified by their distinct white lettering in the upper right corner of the printed circuit board (looking at the ECU with the connectors to the left).
